Construction on Main Street in the city of Cortland is tentatively slated to begin on Monday, March 27, according to the Crown City Rising website.

Work will begin with contractors removing trees along Main Street. It will be followed up by replacing and rehabilitating underground water and sewer utilities.

Construction work will start on the west side of Main Street between West Court Street and Tompkins Street. Parking in this specific area will be limited, and traffic will be maintained in at least one lane during construction.

The construction on Main Street is a continuation of Cortland’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative projects. A full breakdown of Cortland’s DRI projects are here.

All construction work is subject to change based on weather.
