Today will be chilly behind last night’s intense cold front, but it will be a quiet day at least.

A few stray snow showers off Lake Ontario will be possible early this morning. Eventually, the chances for these will drop off and clouds will start to give way to some sunshine.

Much of the afternoon will have some sunshine, and skies should be mostly clear by the late afternoon.

Winds will be steady out of the northwest wind speeds around 10 mph. Top gusts on the day will come in around 25 mph.

The northwest wind will ensure temperatures remain cool with highs in the mid and upper 30s.

Winds will become calm early this evening as high pressure passes overhead. South winds will develop by the late evening with speeds around 5 mph through the night.

Clouds will also move back in this evening and should be plentiful overnight.

Temperatures will respond to these changes by dropping to the low and mid 20s early this evening, then rising back to the upper 20s by Friday morning.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Mostly cloudy with occasional rain showers, possibly starting as a little wet snow. Morning lows in the upper 20s.  Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.

Saturday: Windy with showers and possibly a few thunderstorms. Morning lows in the upper 40s.  Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Sunday: A morning flurry. Then, sun and clouds. Morning lows near 20.  Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Monday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a stray shower. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.
