A man was arrested on Friday for driving while intoxicated following his involvement in a car accident, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.

Andrew S. Clay, 31 of the town of Groton, was involved in a two-car, property-damage car accident on Route 13 and South Virgil Road in the town of Cortlandville.

Clay was found to be intoxicated, which led to a DWI charge. He was also charged with moving from lane unsafely and driving across a hazard marking (both infractions).

Clay was processed, arraigned, released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court at a later date.
