A front will wobble around the region, creating sharp and fluctuating temperature gradients.

The front will be nearly overhead to start the day before it lifts just north of the county. Clouds and a few showers will linger through the first part of the morning, but some sun may work its way out later in the morning.

Temperatures will quickly warm into the 50s this morning and possibly into the 60s this afternoon. Late in the afternoon, the front will begin to sink back to the south.

There may come a time late in the day when the northern reaches of the county are in the 40s while the southern reaches are at or above 65 degrees.

As the front moves south, clouds will increase, and showers will again become possible. Scattered showers will continue into the evening and overnight hours, even as the front lifts back to the north again.

Temperatures should settle in the low and mid 40s for much of the nighttime hours but could rise back to near 50 degrees before sunrise Wednesday.

With the front nearby and overhead, winds will be light with speeds near or under 5 mph. The wind direction will be variable depending on the location of the front but will usually be somewhere between northeasterly and southeasterly.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Clouds, some sun, and scattered showers and thunderstorms. Blustery south winds. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Morning and midday rain showers. Morning temperatures in the upper 50s. Afternoon temperatures in the low and mid 50s.

Friday: Clouds and some sun. Blustery northwest winds. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Saturday: Lots of sun and not as windy. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
