A man was arrested on Sunday after he broke into a house and damaged items, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.

Michael A. Grossi, 37 of Cortlandville, entered the home without consent and damaged items in it. It was discovered that Grossi had a full stay-away order of protection against him for an individual living in the home, the report stated.

Grossi was charged with second-degree burglary (a Class-C Felony), fourth-degree criminal mischief (a Class-A Misdemeanor) and second-degree criminal contempt (a Class-A Misdemeanor).

Grossi was processed, arraigned and sent to Cortland County Jail on a $10,000 cash bail, $20,000 bond or a $200,000 partially-secured bond with 10% down. He is slated to appear in Cortlandville town court on Wednesday.
