A slow moving cold front will cross the region this morning, leading to a small drop in temperature and some showers.

The best chance for rain will be through the morning hours. On and off showers will be possible, but also may just miss the area to the south and east.

A few showers may linger into the early afternoon, but the chances for rain will diminish quickly thereafter. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, though.

Winds will be from the northwest most of the day, but with light wind speeds of near or just above 5 mph. Top gusts today will be around 20 mph.

Temperatures will hover around 60 degrees for an hour or two after sunrise, then fall back into the mid 50s. Much of the day will be in the mid 50s, though some hilltops may slip into the low 50s.

Skies will be mostly cloudy this evening, but the clouds will start to break up somewhat after midnight. No additional precipitation is expected.

Winds will remain at or just over 5 mph through the night, but the wind direction will jog towards the west before returning to the northwest in the predawn hours.

Temperatures will fall back to around 40 degrees this evening and into the mid 30s overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Clouds and some sun, mostly early and late. Blustery northwest winds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.
