Temperatures will continue to climb today with breezy winds remaining.

An area of low pressure over eastern Canada spread some clouds into the area yesterday and last night. As this system departs this morning, a stray shower cannot be ruled out.

Most areas will not see any rain, though. Those that do may not see enough to totally wet the pavement.

Sunshine will increase this morning, with partly cloudy skies transitioning to mostly sunny skies during the afternoon.

West-northwest winds will increase through the morning, with speeds up to 15 mph and gusts to 35 mph during the midday and afternoon hours.

These will not be cool winds, and temperatures are expected to add on a few more degrees over yesterday’s highs. Most places should be around or just slightly above 70 degrees today.

Skies will be clear tonight and winds will calm down. Temperatures will remain mild, though, with evening temperatures in the upper 50s and overnight lows in the low 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows around 50. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Very small chance for a late shower. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday: More clouds than sun. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
