The location for the 23rd annual Brockway Truck Show this year was announced through a recent discussion about the popular local event.

At Tuesday’s Village of Homer Board of Trustees meeting, Brockway Truck Preservation Association committee member Tom Kile requested for the show to take place in Homer for a second-straight year.

Village mayor Hal McCabe and the board welcomed back the Brockway Truck Show and its officials with open arms for the second year in a row.

“We were thrilled you came to Homer. I thought it was fantastic,” McCabe said. “We got great feedback. We’d love to have you back.”

The truck show was in Homer last year due to the ongoing construction in the city of Cortland, which has hosted the show since its inception. The construction in Cortland is continuing this year and could go into next year.

Kile thanked the village board for all they did for last season’s show.

“You did us a super, super favor allowing us to come to Homer last year,” Kile said to the board. “It was met with open arms, not only for our group, but the Brockway community.”

Kile noted the Brockway Truck Show averages over 125 trucks on display every year.

“There are very few truck shows that are one make or one brand,” he said. “It’s something we’re proud of and something we can build on. I’d like to see this come to another level. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger.”

Further details on this year’s Brockway Truck Show has yet to be determined.
