Abigail Ensign received a second-straight sixth team selection.
Nine local high school basketball players were selected to the 2022-23 New York State Sportswriters Association’s all-state teams.
Marathon senior Conor Holland, an all-state honoree last season, received a nod for the Class D all-state first team this season. On the Olympians’ girls basketball side, junior Abby Ensign received a second-straight sixth team selection.
Four Cortland girls basketball players garnered Class B all-state selections. Juniors Valerosa Gambitta and Kendall Mack were respectively named to the seventh and eighth teams.
Senior Mallory Turner received Class B 11th team honors for the Purple Tigers. Her sister, Claire Turner, got honorable mention.
For Homer, senior Catherine Apker brought in a Class B all-state for the second year in a row with a 10th team nod this season. On Trojans’ boys basketball side, senior Evan Butts took honorable mention in Class B.
McGraw senior Gaven Truman was selected as honorable mention in Class D.
