A subtle cold front will move through the area today as high pressure along the Mid-Atlantic coast gives way to high pressure building into the Upper Great Lakes from Canada.

This front will move through during the morning hours. Ahead of the front, mainly thin clouds will remain in place, limiting the sunshine during the morning.

The front will pass without notice with no rain expected to fall.

Winds will turn to the north and northwest, slowly increasing to around 10 mph this afternoon. The clouds will gradually give way to sunshine.

Temperatures will be about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday, topping out in the upper 60s and low 70s. This will, in turn, be 10-15 degrees warmer than tomorrow.

Skies may be mostly clear by the early evening, but then a new batch of thin clouds will start to move in. Northerly winds will continue during the night, helping drop nighttime temperatures to around 40 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with some filtered sun. Morning lows around 40. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.

Monday: A mix of sun and mainly thin clouds. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a few scattered showers late. Breezy. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Wednesday: Sunny with just a few clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
