High pressure will retain control of the weather today, but an incoming weather system will start to nose its way in as well.

Sunshine is likely through the morning hours, but clouds will gradually increase this afternoon. Many of the clouds will be thin, and at least some sunshine should filter through them at first. Eventually, the clouds should thicken up.

With high pressure to our east, and the approaching weather system from the west, winds will be a bit blustery today. South winds will blow at speeds up to 15 mph with gusts around 30 mph.

The south winds will continue to push warmer air into the region, and the morning sunshine will certainly help as well. Afternoon highs should make it into the low 70s this afternoon.

Tonight, skies will be more cloudy than not, and a stray shower after midnight cannot be totally ruled out.

Temperatures will remain mild with mid 50s in the evening and overnight low around 50 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with rain likely, especially during the afternoon. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Sunday: Plenty of sunshine. A few fair weather clouds, especially in the afternoon. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs near 70.

Monday: Sunny but colder. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs near 60.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
