Today will be another unsettled day as low pressure meanders across the region.

Rain showers will be possible at any time today. The best chance for some steadier rain will be in the latter half of the morning into the midday hours.

This afternoon, embedded thundery downpours will be possible. Not all areas will see these heavier bursts, but those that do could easily see over an inch of rainfall as a result.

The rain will become lighter and more showery early this evening, then gradually dissipate to a few spits of drizzle during the overnight hours.

Winds will start the day from the southeast but will turn to the northwest as the center of the low pressure passes by. Wind speeds will generally be light but may briefly approach 10 mph during the late afternoon as they turn to the northwest.

Temperatures will be cool thanks to the clouds, showers, and overhead low pressure system. High temperatures will struggle even to make it 65 degrees this afternoon, and some higher elevations may not get much above 60 degrees.

Tonight, temperatures will quickly drop into the 50s, but should not get much lower than 50 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: A mix of sun and clouds. Maybe a stray, brief shower. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Friday: Clouds, some sun, and scattered showers. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs near 70.

Sunday: Clouds, some sun, and a few scattered showers. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
