Low pressure will be pulling away from the area and should be just far enough to east to keep our weather today mostly quiet.

Some cloudiness will be possible through the morning hours, and a stray spit of rain cannot be totally ruled out.

As we transition into the afternoon, the chances for rain should approach zero and clouds will give way to increasing sunshine.

Some breezy northwest winds will develop, with speeds over 10 mph and gusts approaching 30 mph. The winds will be strongest in the afternoon and will quickly die out around sunset.

Skies will become mostly clear this evening and through the overnight, though a few passing thin clouds may be possible from time to time.

There will also be a little smoke in the atmosphere. While low amounts of smoke may make it down to the surface, it is not expected to have a major impact on air quality.

Temperatures will build their way to a high around 70 degrees this afternoon. Evening temperatures will quickly fall into the 50s, and overnight lows should settle around 50 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: Partly cloudy. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy. Perhaps a nighttime shower. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Wednesday: Sun, clouds, and maybe a couple showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs around 80.
