With the overall weather pattern over the northeastern United States changing little, today will turn out rather similar to yesterday.

Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds. The best chance for more clouds than sun will be during the first half of the morning, and the best chance for clear skies will come during the late afternoon and nighttime hours.

Fair-weather clouds will bubble up during the latter half of the morning and will grow during the afternoon. There is a small chance that a couple of these clouds may spit out a few raindrops. Most areas will not see any precipitation, though.

Winds will be from the northwest at 5-10 mph during the morning hours, decreasing to around 5 mph during the afternoon.

A little wildfire smoke, both aloft and at the surface, but significant air quality issues are not expected.

Temperatures will be a bit warmer than yesterday with highs in the low and mid 70s. Evening temperatures will drop back into the 50s and overnight lows should be just above 50 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Partly cloudy. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy. Perhaps an afternoon shower. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Wednesday: Sun, clouds, and maybe a couple showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs around 80.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
