The City of Cortland Common Council on Tuesday amended its budget with appropriations from various departments.
The city amended its 2023 budget – adopted near the end of last year – by $722,112 with appropriations from the Cortland fire department, police department, department of public works and the youth bureau.
Below is a breakdown of the budget appropriations for each city department involved:
Cortland mayor Scott Steve noted at Tuesday’s meeting that this is the new format for budget amendments that follow the adoption of budgets. It’s the format that Lisa Henty, Cortland’s director of administration and finance, will implement as she keeps the city’s finances in line.
