Rain chances will increase today, especially late in the day, kicking off a wet weekend.

Lighter rain showers will be possible at any time today, though most of the time will be dry before 5 PM.

Some breaks of sun will be possible between the clouds.

It will be warm and humid, with afternoon highs reaching the mid 70s with dewpoints in the mid 60s.

Late in the afternoon and early this evening, showers and thunderstorms will become more widespread. Locally heavy downpours will be possible.

The rain will diminish again after 9 PM, with only a few sporadic showers overnight.

Areas that see heavy rain could experience locally dense fog this evening and overnight.

Temperatures during the evening will sit around 70 degrees, with an overnight low in the mid 60s.

Winds will be light throughout the daytime and nighttime hours, with a southeast breeze around just 5 mph.

Sunday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs around 80.

Monday: Sun and clouds. A few scattered thunderstorms possible. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs around or just over 80.

Tuesday: Numerous showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
