Today will be a transition day as we go from an active, wet pattern to a dry, hot pattern for a few days.

Rain today will be limited to small, isolated, light showers. The best chance for these showers will be during the morning hours, though an afternoon spit of rain cannot be totally ruled out, either.

Most areas will see very little rain today, and most of the day should be dry.

While the atmosphere as a whole will be drying out, surface dewpoints will remain muggy in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs will be warm, but not as hot as later in the week, topping out near or just above 80 degrees.

Winds will remain light, coming from the northwest at under 10 mph. Only very light amounts of wildfire smoke are expected with little to no significant impact on air quality.

Skies will clear this evening with temperatures dropping through the 70s into the 60s. Overnight lows will be in the low 60s.

Areas of fog will be possible after midnight and into the early morning hours Wednesday.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Sunny with a few fair weather clouds. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Thursday: Sunny with a few fair weather clouds. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. An afternoon line of thunderstorms possible. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Saturday: A few showers and thunderstorms possible. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
