Today will likely end up as the warmest day of the week, though it will not be excessively hot or notable by July standards.

Winds will turn to the southwest and west, importing warmer air into the region. Wind speeds will remain light at 5-10 mph.

Skies will be sunny with fair weather clouds, allowing the atmosphere to tap into the available warm air. The result will be afternoon highs near, or in the case of the hills, just shy of 85 degrees.

Humidity levels will be comfortable, with dewpoints sticking to the mid and upper 50s.

There is a very small chance for an isolated spit of rain. Most areas will remain perfectly dry, and those that do see rain, will only see a few minutes worth of it.

Skies will clear out during the evening as the daytime heating is lost. Temperatures will fall through the 70s.

Overnight, some thin clouds will gradually move in from the west. Low temperatures will end up in the low 60s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. A few afternoon showers and storms possible. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with showers and storms possible. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs near 80.

Friday: Clouds, some sun, and a few lingering showers. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Saturday: Clouds and sun with showers and storms possible. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.
