County Sheriff’s Blotter for Monday July 17, 2023: Burglary, stolen vehicle and violations

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office recently released arrest reports that include burglary, grand larceny, violations and other charges.

 

Michael A. Grossi

Grossi, 37, of Enfield, was arrested this past Thursday.

According to his arrest report, Grossi unlawfully entered a residence in the town of Cortlandville and damaged the inside of the home. The investigation discovered that Grossi violated two separate orders of protection while there were three victims in the residence, the report continued.

The report stated Grossi fled the scene, but county sheriff’s officers located him in Cortland. The report noted that the victims involved in the incident were not injured.

Grossi was charged with second-degree burglary (a Class-C Felony), third-degree criminal mischief (a Class-E Felony) and three counts of second-degree criminal contempt (a Class-A Misdemeanor).

Already processed and arraigned, Grossi is being held at the Cortland County Jail on a $50,000 cash bail/$100,000 bond.

According to the report, Grossi has been arrested for similar charges on multiple occasions over the last 10 months.

 

Jason T. Stevens

Stevens, 42, of Altmar, was arrested on Friday.

His arrest report stated that county sheriff’s officers conducted a traffic stop. The report noted that Stevens violated an order of protection for three individuals in the vehicle, two of which were minors.

According to the report, the investigation discovered that Stevens was driving with a revoked license. No injuries reported during the incident, the report continued.

Stevens was charged with aggravated family offense (a Class-E Felony), two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, three counts of second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation (all misdemeanors), and operating without a license speeding and multiple backseat passenger traffic infractions.

Stevens was arraigned and is now being held without bail at the county jail.

 

Monti J. Mann

Mann, 35, of Chittenango, was arrested on Friday.

The report stated that the county sheriff’s officer responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from Night Owls restaurant in Cortlandville.

Working with the City of Cortland Police Department, the report noted that officers discovered that Mann stole the vehicle.

Mann was arrested on a warrant and charged with third-degree grand larceny (a Class-C Felony). He was processed, arraigned and currently being held at the county jail without bail.
