A woman got into a car accident and was found to be driving while intoxicated (DWI), according to a report.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report stated that officers responded to the area of Route 215 and Starr Road in the town of Cortlandville during the early-morning hours of Saturday.
Melessa S. Bieling, 44, of Virgil, was involved in a single motor vehicle accident. Along with her DWI, she was charged with driving across hazard markings and operating a motor vehicle using a portable electronic device (both violations).
Bieling was arraigned, processed and released. She is due to appear in Cortlandville town court at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
