County Sheriff’s Blotter: Assault, trespass and more

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office issued arrest reports over the weekend.

The reports include charges of assault, criminal trespass and more.

Jentre T. Bergman

Bergman, 32, of Cortlandville, was arrested on Friday (Aug. 4).

The report stated that county sheriff’s officers reported to a residence on Ridge Road in the town of Cortlandville.

According to the report, Bergman injured an individual during a physical altercation at a different location. The individual sustained non-life threatening injuries, the report continued.

Bergman was charged with third-degree assault, a Class-A Misdemeanor. He is arraigned, released and now due to appear in court at a later date.

Ashley L. Jenkins

Jenkins, 38, of Cortland, was arrested on Friday (Aug. 4).

The report stated that Jenkins trespassed at the Walmart store in the town of Corlandville after she was previously banned from the premises in November 2022. Jenkins left the store before officers arrived, but later turned herself in at the county sheriff’s office, the report noted.

Jenkins was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. She was released on an appearance ticket and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Aug. 14.

Ereik L. Alexander

Alexander, 27, of Homer, was arrested last Tuesday (Aug. 1).

The report stated that Alexander violated a full stay-away order of protection by being in the presence of two protected individuals at a residence in the town of Cortlandville.

According to the report, Alexander left the residence before officers arrived. He was located later on and arrested.

Alexander was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned, released and now due to appear in court at a later date.

Trixie L. Corey

Corey, 50, of the town of Richford (Tioga County), was arrested on Friday (Aug. 4).

The report stated that Corey stole merchandise from the Walmart store in the town of Cortlandville.

Corey was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. She was processed, released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court for arraignment on Aug. 21.
