A small area of high pressure between weather systems will be overhead today, keeping the weather quiet.

Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day, but no precipitation is expected.

A northwest wind will blow in the wake of a cold front that moved through overnight. Wind speeds may approach 10 mph at times, with a few gusts nearing 25 mph.

The northwest winds will bring in less humid air with dewpoints spending the day well down into the 50s.

The air temperature will be just a couple degrees below the daily average. Most areas should see mid 70s, but a few of the higher elevations may stick to the low 70s.

This evening, any clouds will dissipate, and the wind will become calm. This will be short-lived, however, with new clouds moving in by midnight and a south-southeast wind developing.

Nonetheless, temperatures will make it down into the mid and even low 50s overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Sun and cloud with occasional thunderstorms, some potentially strong. Morning lows in the low and mid 50s. Afternoon highs near 80.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Maybe an afternoon shower. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: Sun and clouds. Rain and thunder during the nighttime hours. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with occasional showers. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
