As one area of low pressure departs the region this morning, another will meander through this afternoon.

Steady rain associated with the first low will pull out early this morning. Only lingering showers are expected by the mid-morning, and rain chances will decrease further for the late morning and early afternoon.

By the mid-afternoon, the second low will lead to a redevelopment of showers. The rain will not be as steady or heavy, but it may still make for a rather wet afternoon.

Showers will continue into the evening before gradually winding down again. Clouds and a few spits of rain will linger through the overnight.

Temperatures will struggle today with the clouds and showers, though the midday lull should help give them a small bump up. Look for highs mostly in the low 70s with a few hilltops topping out around 70 degrees.

Winds will be from the southwest, then west, with speeds around 5 mph. The wind should go back to the southwest during the nighttime hours.

Evening temperatures will drop into the low and mid 60s. By Wednesday morning, upper 50s are expected.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Some morning clouds and maybe a shower. Increasing afternoon sun. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs near 80.

Friday: Showers, especially in the morning. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a stray shower. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
