High pressure will nose its way into the region today.

Some clouds and a few stray showers will linger this morning behind the low pressure system that tracked through the region yesterday.

Not all areas will see rain, and those that do will see minimal amounts.

The chances for rain should dwindle during the midday hours. Most of the afternoon should end up with a mix of sun and clouds.

Winds will blow from the northwest. Wind speeds will be just over 5 mph.

Temperatures will be close to average, topping out this afternoon in the mid 70s. Evening temperatures will quickly fall into the 60s, with an overnight low down in the mid 50s.

Skies will be mostly clear overnight, though some patchy fog may develop in the usual areas towards dawn.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs near 80.

Friday: Showers, especially in the morning. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a stray shower early. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs near 80.
