Multiple individuals damage items at local store; handful of arrests in sheriff’s blotter

Two individuals were arrested late last week after damaging items at a local store, according to a report.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report stated that Curtis A. Rice, 32, and Ashely M. Marshall, 28, both of the town of Georgetown, damaged items and stole merchandise in the Walmart store in the town of Cortlandville.

Rice and Marshall were arrested on Friday (Aug. 11) and charged with petit larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (all Class-A Misdemeanors); and sixth-degree conspiracy (a Class-B Misdemeanor).

Both individuals are due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Monday (Aug. 21).

 

Rhiannon N. Stillwell and Katelyn E. Burdick

Stillwell, 20, and Burdick, 18, of the town of Freetown, were arrested Wednesday evening (Aug. 16).

The county sheriff’s office report stated that Stillwell and Burdick damaged and stole merchandise from the Walmart store in Cortlandville.

Stillwell and Burdick were charged with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief (both Class-A Misdemeanors), and sixth-degree conspiracy (a Class-B Misdemeanor). They are both set to appear in Cortlandville town court on Sept. 11.
