A subtle cold front will drop south through the region today.

The biggest clue to this front will be an increase in cloud cover compared to yesterday.

There may be a few stray showers or some drizzle, mainly during the morning hours. For the most part, though, rain will be hard to come by and only in very small amounts.

Clouds will persist through the morning and afternoon. There will probably be some occasional breaks of sun mixing in, as well as some wildfire smoke high in the atmosphere.

Temperatures will mainly be in the mid to perhaps upper 70s this afternoon. Winds will be from the north and northwest with speeds up to 10 mph at times.

Skies will remain rather cloudy through the night. Evening temperatures will drop to the low 60s and overnight lows will end up in the low 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Some clouds early with increasing afternoon sun. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Maybe a late shower or storm. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Friday: Showers or storms possible. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
