High pressure will depart the area today, but most of the time, the weather will still be pleasant and quiet.

Sunshine and thin clouds will rule the morning hours before the clouds gradually increase and thicken through the afternoon.

A stray shower cannot be ruled out after 3 PM, but most of the area will stay dry through sunset.

Rain chances will increase during the evening hours, with the best chance for steadier rain coming in around or after midnight. A few rumbles of thunder and a couple brief downpours of heavier rain will be possible.

With the high pressure center passing to our east, winds will turn to the south today. Wind speeds will be light, generally at or below 5 mph.

The wind will increase slightly this evening as it turns to the southeast. Wind speeds will be just over 5 mph.

Temperatures should reach the mid 70s this afternoon, though a few hilltops will stick to the low 70s. Evening temperatures will drop to the low 60s, with overnight lows making it to the upper 50s.
