Moisture will return to the area today as high pressure departs, leading to a few showers.

Showers will increase across the area during the mid to late morning and continue into the afternoon. The showers will not be constant, though a few periods of steadier showers may be possible.

A rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out, and a few showers may be a little breezy. Widespread thunderstorms are not expected, nor are strong to severe storms.

Temperatures will generally reach the mid 70s this afternoon, though some higher elevations will stick to the low 70s.

Winds will be out of the south-southeast with speeds around 5 mph on average.

Tonight, showers will continue as temperatures drop to the mid 60s during the evening. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s.

Friday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
