Constructions crews are planning to connect new water mains in multiple areas, along with other projects in the city of Cortland this week.

According to Crown City Rising, the following projects will be underway Monday through Wednesday of this week:

Today (Monday, Aug. 28) – Crews will be connecting a new water main to the existing water main on Clinton Avenue. This will cause water service service disruptions from Main Street to Charles Street.

Crews will also be excavating on West Court Street in preparation for the water main connection on that street and Main Street.

Tuesday (Aug. 29) – Crews will be connecting a new water main to the existing water main on West Court. This will cause water service disruptions between Main Street and Monroe Heights.

Wednesday (Aug. 30) – Crews will be connecting a new water main to the existing water main on Court Street. This will cause water service disruptions from Main Street to Church Street.

Projects on Main Street is the city’s continuation of its Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) projects. Cortland started working on projects last year.
