A small weather system will bring some clouds in as southerly winds ahead of it continue to pull warm air northward.

Many of the clouds today, and especially through the first half of the day, will be thin. A good deal of sunshine should still shine despite the clouds.

Later in the afternoon, the clouds will thicken some, but the best chance for overcast skies will come this evening. It will also be during the evening that there will be a small chance for a stray spit of rain.

Any rain that does fall will be light and brief, but most areas will not see any rain whatsoever.

South and southwest winds will blow at speeds slightly above 5 mph. Even with the extra clouds, the wind will cause temperatures to rise several degrees.

Look for afternoon highs to range from the upper 70s to around or just over 80 degrees. Dewpoints will remain comfortable in the 50s.

Evening temperatures will be slow to drop into the 60s. As skies clear after midnight, temperatures will eventually make it down to the upper 50s by Sunday morning.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Sunny with a few fair weather clouds. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low and mid 80s.

Monday: Sunny with a few morning clouds and maybe a stray predawn shower. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid and upper 80s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s.
