The Homer Lady Trojans dominated Phoenix in three straight sets at Homer high school to improve to an overall record of 2-1 Tuesday night.

The Lady Trojans were able to take an early two set lead. The third set was a closer and hard fought game, but Homer was able to win it 25-19 to secure the sweep.

“I think we played good,” said Homer junior Mickenlee Harris. “There were some moments when we were down, but we played pretty well.”

“I think we really came out with a mindset to just play our game no matter how they (Phoenix) work,” added Homer senior Lilly Sorenson. “We didn’t really know how they were coming in. This was only the third game of the season, so you never know how somebody is.”
