A Cortland County man was arrested on a warrant last week after he broke into a residence, according to a report.

The county sheriff’s report stated that officers dispatched to a residence in the town of Truxton for a burglary investigation on Sept. 8.

According to the report, investigation found that Matthew S. Clark, 36 of Cortland, entered the residence while no one was home and stole items inside.

County officers were initially unable to locate Clark. He was then arrested on a warrant and charged with second-degree burglary (a Class-C Felony) and petit larceny (a Class-A Misdemeanor).

Clark was arraigned on Sept. 12, then released. He is set to appear in court at a later date.
