The Cortland County Health Department announced that there will be a child safety seat event in the county this weekend.
The event will be held this Saturday (Sept. 23) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cortlandville Fire Department at 999 Rt. 13.
Part of National Passenger Safety Week (Sept. 18-24), the event will have certified child passenger technicians on hand to check a child’s seat for proper installation, harnessing and the overall safety of the seat.
“There’s so much to get done every day, but car seat safety should always be a priority,” noted in a post by the county health department.
