Drier air will eventually move into the region today as low pressure off the Mid-Atlantic coast dissipates.

Clouds are likely through the morning hours. A spit of drizzle cannot be ruled out, but most areas should not see any precipitation.

This afternoon, the clouds will gradually break up and sunshine will increase. By the time the sun sets, skies should be mostly clear.

Mostly clear skies will continue into the evening hours. After midnight, some thin clouds may work into the area from the west.

Winds will again be from the east and southeast today. Wind speeds will be slightly over 5 mph, but under 10 mph. Gusts should remain under 20 mph.

Temperatures this afternoon will top out in the mid 60s. A few hilltops may remain in the low 60s.

Evening temperatures will be quick to drop into the 40s. Overnight lows will be in the low 40s with some colder pockets slipping into the upper 30s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs around 70.
