A small weather disturbance will rotate around a large area of low pressure over eastern Canada today, bringing an increased chance for a few showers.

While a few peeks of sunshine cannot be ruled out, much of the day will be cloudy.

Much of the rain will stay to the northwest, but a few showers or some drizzle will be possible across the county as well. Rain showers will be most likely in the midday and afternoon hours.

Southwest winds will blow much of the day with speeds up to 10 mph. A few gusts of 25 mph will be possible. Late this afternoon, the wind speed will drop, and winds may even become calm for a time into the evening.

Overnight, the wind will pick back up from the south with light speeds around 5 mph.

Afternoon temperatures will top out in the low 50s with a few pockets of mid 50s, especially if the rain mostly stays out of the area.

Evening temperatures will be quick to drop into the mid 40s but will only lose a few more degrees overnight thanks to the developing south wind and some cloud cover.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Morning clouds and a few showers. Maybe some late sun. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the low and mid 50s.

Thursday: A mix of sun and clouds. Only a small, outside chance for rain. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Friday: Clouds and some sun. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Saturday: Rain likely, possibly heavy at times. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
