A man was arrested earlier this week for stealing merchandise from a local store, according to a report.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report stated that officers responded to a larceny complaint at the Walmart store in the town of Cortlandville on Wednesday (Oct. 11). The report noted that Travis J. Dise, 29 of the town of Masonville, left the scene in a vehicle.
Officers located Dise still in his vehicle, the report continued. The investigation determined that Dise was in possession of about $1,000 in stolen merchandise from Walmart.
Dise was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny (a Class-E Felony). He was processed, released and due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Oct. 30.
