The Marathon field hockey team starts its run in the sectional tournament next week.
The Olympians (11-5), the second seed in the Section IV Class C tournament, will host 3rd-seeded Moravia (10-5-1) in the semifinal round at 3 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 24).
Whitney Point (14-0) is the top seed of the Class C tournament. The Eagles will face either 4th-seeded Sidney (7-8) or 5th-seeded Deposit-Hancock (6-9) in the semifinals on Oct. 24.
Tournament semifinal winners will move on to the Class C championship game scheduled at 11 a.m. Oct. 28 at Tioga Central High School.
