Updates on construction work in the city of Cortland comes with road closures and reduced traffic lanes.

Below are updates for Main Street and Groton Avenue, according to Crown City Rising:

Main Street

Construction crews will continue to install storm sewer lines at the intersection of North Main Street and Main Street.

This work will reduce traffic to one lane on North Main Street.

The various projects on Main Street are the city’s continuation of its Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI). Cortland started working on projects last year.

For more information or suggestions to alternative routes, go to the Crown City Rising website. A full layout of Cortland’s DRI projects can be seen here.

Groton Avenue

Crews will continue sanitary sewer lateral work between Main Street and Monroe Heights.

That section of Groton Avenue will be closed to all traffic.
