The Section III girls volleyball sectional seedings and matchups were announced over the weekend. Both Cortland and Homer are scheduled to participate in their respective sectional tournaments.
Below are Cortland’s and Homer’s current matchups and seedings:
Cortland
The Cortland Lady Tigers earned the No.2 seed in the Section III Class A championship after ending their regular season with a 6-9 record.
With only two teams making the Class A tournament, Cortland is scheduled to play directly in the championship final against No.1 seed Jamesville-Dewitt.
Jamesville-Dewitt got the top seed after ending their season with an overall record of 9-7.
According to Section III, Cortland will play Jamesville-Dewitt on Friday (November 3rd) at Jamesville-Dewitt high school at 4pm. (Note: start time of the match is subject to change).

Homer
The Homer Trojans got the No.5 seed of the Section III Class B playoff tournament. Homer ended their regular season with an overall record of 9-7.
Homer will play the first round of the tournament against No.4 seed Cazenovia, who ended their regular season with a 9-5 record.
The Lady Trojans are scheduled to begin sectional play at Cazenovia high school on Wednesday (October 25th) at 6pm. (Note: start time of the match is subject to change).
