High pressure will dominate today with ample sunshine and warming temperatures.

South winds developed overnight and rose temperatures a couple of degrees since last evening. The south wind will continue throughout the day, blowing at speeds just under 10 mph.

There will be few clouds in the sky today to impede the sunshine. Only a stray cloud here or there and a few thin clouds late in the day are expected.

This will allow the sunshine to team up with increasing south winds to raise temperatures quickly and substantially.

Expect most areas to be near or above 60 degrees today. A few of the warmest areas may even sneak into the mid 60s.

There will be little change in the wind after sunset. Thin clouds will gradually build in, and skies after midnight should be mostly cloudy. No rain is expected, though.

Evening temperatures will drop to around 50 degrees with overnight lows only slightly cooler in the upper 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with maybe a late shower. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. A few showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. A few scattered showers. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.
