State Police: Man arrested for having fake vehicle documents

A man was recently arrested for having fake vehicle documents, according to a New York State Police report.

The state police report noted that George G. Middleton, 51, of Rochester, was pulled over on the Interstate-81 highway in the city of Cortland for multiple vehicle and traffic infractions.

According to the report, an investigation discovered that Middleton had a fake temporary paper Indiana state license plate. Middleton was also driving with a revoked driver’s license, and had “fraudulent insurance documents” for the vehicle, the report continued.

Middleton was arrested on Oct. 21 and charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument (a Class-D Felony). He is due to appear in court at a later date.
