November will be off to a chilly start as the core of the current cold air mass moves overhead.

A small cold front late this morning will bring a few lake enhanced snow showers to the area. A brief burst of snow may reduce visibility and coat some grassy surfaces.

Otherwise, skies will be cloudy, and an occasional flurry will be possible.

Northwest winds will increase behind the front, reaching speeds over 10 mph for the afternoon. A few gusts to 30 mph will be possible.

Incoming cold air will hold temperatures mainly near 40 degrees. Higher elevations will be just shy of 40 degrees, while some southern areas may sneak just above.

A few flurries may be possible early in the evening as winds shift back to a more westerly direction. Skies will be mostly to partly cloudy thereafter.

Evening temperatures will quickly fall through the 30s and into the upper 20s. Overnight lows will end up near or under 25 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs near 50.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. Maybe a few showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. Maybe a few showers. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
