The process of paving the roads in the city of Cortland’s downtown area for the winter season has begun.

According to Crown City Rising, lane restrictions are in place on Port Watson Street (at the intersection of Main Street) as construction crews prepare the road for paving.

West Court Street, from Main Street to Monroe Heights, is closed as paving continues in that section.

On Groton Avenue, crews are continuing the installation of sewer laterals from the west entrance of the city parking lot to Pleasant Street. The CCR update noted that this area will have a “hard” road closure.
