Today will be a quiet day as temperatures start to warm up after a cold start.

Southwest winds will keep any lake effect out of the area, though skies will still be a mix of sun and clouds.

Only a stray flurry early this morning will be possible off Lake Erie as that lake’s activity swings northward.

The wind will blow with speeds just under 10 mph, staying steady from the southwest during the day. After sunset, the wind will turn slightly more to the south and will increase to near 10 mph.

Temperatures will climb steadily this morning from a cold start to afternoon highs in the low and mid 40s.

Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy tonight. These clouds, along with the south wind, will keep it from getting as cold as last night.

Evening temperatures will be in the low and mid 30s and overnight lows should be near or just under 30 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs near 50.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. Maybe a few showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. Maybe a few showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Monday: Mostly cloudy. Rain arriving late. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
