It will be another quiet day today with high pressure over the Mid-Atlantic influencing our weather.

Skies will be mixed with sun and clouds but will gradually trend cloudier as the day goes on. No precipitation is expected, however.

South and southwest winds will increase, blowing at speeds slightly over 10 mph. A few gusts may approach 30 mph, especially during the afternoon.

Despite the clouds, the south wind will help warm temperatures. With highs reaching the low and possibly mid 50s, it will be about ten degrees warmer than yesterday.

Tonight, the wind will continue as clouds increase and thicken. A few showers may slide in after midnight and will become more common towards dawn.

Evening temperatures will drop to the mid 40s with overnight lows ending up around 40 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Morning showers. A few breaks of afternoon sun. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the low and mid 50s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. Maybe a few showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the low and mid 50s.

Monday: Mostly cloudy. Rain arriving late. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Tuesday: Periods of rain showers, especially in the morning. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
