Man found with drugs worth over $1,000 (County Sheriff’s Blotter)

A man was found to be in possession of drugs worth over $1,000, according to a report.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report stated that officers conducted a traffic stop for Brandon L. Hallstead, 31, of Cortlandville on Tuesday (Oct. 31). According to the report, Hallstead was driving with a revoked license.

The report noted that officers found 12 grams of methamphetamine and about two grams of crack cocaine, including a digital scale and packaging material. According to the report, the value of the meth was about $1,200, and the value of the crack cocaine was $200.

Hallstead was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (a Class-B Felony), and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of second-degree criminally use drug paraphernalia, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation (all misdemeanors), and several vehicle and traffic infractions.

Hallstead was arraigned and sent to Cortland County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $100,000 insurance bond. He is due to appear in court at a later date.

Sarah C. Haberstroh

Haberstroh, 38 of Cuyler, was arrested on Thursday (Nov. 2).

The county sheriff’s office report stated that Haberstroh resisted arrest while being taken into custody on a bench warrant. She was charged with resisting arrest – a misdemeanor.

Haberstroh was arraigned and is now due to appear in Cuyler town court on Nov. 13.
