A weak cold front moved through the area overnight. Behind this front, a little lake effect and slightly cooler temperatures are expected today.

The best chance for lake snows will be through the morning hours. None of the snow is expected to be heavy and will likely be just on and off flurries. Still, a localized coating of snow on grassy surfaces may be possible.

The lake effect should wind down during the late morning and early afternoon, possibly turning to a bit of rain before it completely dissipates.

Clouds will stick around for most of the remainder of the daylight hours, but a few breaks may allow for some peaks of sunshine here or there.

Winds will be out of the northwest with speeds up to 10 mph. Top gusts will be around 20 mph.

It will be cooler than yesterday with afternoon highs around 40 degrees. Higher elevations will probably stick to the upper 30s.

Tonight, the clouds will break up somewhat, but it will probably not be completely clear. Still, temperatures will drop steadily, with low 30s in the evening and mid 20s overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs near 40.

Monday: Morning sun with late clouds and evening rain. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid and upper 40s.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers, mainly in the morning. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the low and mid 40s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs near 50.
