High pressure will pass through the region today, keeping our weather quiet.

A light north-northwest flow across Lake Ontario will keep some lake effect clouds lingering throughout the day. A stray flurry may even be possible this morning.

There will be more clouds than sun through the morning hours. During the afternoon, sunshine will gradually increase. The sun may set before it becomes mostly clear, however.

The night sky will only have a few passing clouds from time to time.

Wind speeds will be at or under 5 mph for most of the day. The wind will turn to the southeast and south late in the evening and overnight with speeds increasing slightly.

Afternoon highs will work their way into the low 40s. A few of the hilltops in the northern portion of the county will stick around 40 degrees.

Tonight, temperatures will quickly drop to around 30 degrees shortly after sunset. The temperature freefall will slow as the winds shift, with an overnight low in the mid 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Morning sun with some afternoon rain showers. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid and upper 40s.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers, mainly in the morning. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Wednesday: Clouds and some sun. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Thursday: Sunny with a few stray clouds. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
