County Sheriff: Man damages property in presence of children

A man was arrested during the early-morning hours of Sunday (Nov. 12), according to a report.

The county sheriff’s report stated that officers responded to a residence on Krill Road in the town of Marathon for a disturbance.

According to the report, Jason L. Preston, 32, engaged in an argument with a third party and damaged property while in the presence of two children. Preston was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

Preston was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (all Class-A Misdemeanors).

He was processed, arraigned and now due to appear in Marathon town court on Dec. 12.
