County Sheriff’s Blotter: Criminal mischief, DWI and more

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office released arrest reports that included criminal mischief, driving while intoxicated and more charges.

Below are the reports:

David A. West

West, 24, was arrested on Saturday (Dec. 2).

The county sheriff’s report stated that West damaged property at the Footie's Freez on Route 13 in the town of Cortlandville.

West was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was processed, released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Dec. 18.

Ryan J. Baumgartner

Baumgartner, 24 of the town of Hopewell Junction, was arrested on Saturday (Dec. 2).

The county sheriff’s report stated that officers responded to the intersection of Route 13 and Lime Hollow Road in the town of Cortlandville for a property damage car accident.

According to the report, Baumgartner was driving while intoxicated and collided with another vehicle. Along with his DWI charge (a misdemeanor), he was also charged with following too closely and with speed not reasonable and prudent (infractions).

Baumgartner was processed, released and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Dec. 18.

Amy R. Graham and Christopher A. Leonard

Graham, 50, and Leonard, 38, both of the town of Pitcher, were arrested on Thursday (Nov. 30).

The county sheriff’s report stated that Graham and Leonard entered the Dollar General store in the town of Cincinnatus after previously being issued a formal written trespass notice that prohibits them from the property.

According to the report, Graham and Leonard fled the scene before officers arrived. This led to warrants issued for their arrests. Graham and Leonard were both charged with two counts of third-degree criminal trespass and two counts of sixth-degree conspiracy 

Leonard and Graham were processed, arraigned and released on their own recognizance. Both are due to appear in Cincinnatus town court on Dec. 11.
